The source of inspiration to build something amazing may be various incidents. For some, it is a failure that they faced; for some, it is a motivation from their personal stories; and for some, like me, it’s an episode of struggle that brings the urge to create something of our own, which will change the circumstances for not only me but for many others like me.
I remember very well how hard it was to leave my family behind when I went to the city. I also realised that many talented people leave their hometowns because there are not enough opportunities for them in their hometowns. They move to big cities to find work and better lives. This experience inspired me to start a business that helps people stay near their families while still having good jobs at home in Trichy.
This decision, driven by my strong belief in local talent and long-term value, showed that success often comes from supporting those overlooked by big corporations. Moreover, the importance of culture during my growth period surely made me think deeply about creating and sustaining a culture-first company, and hence I built VDart.
I recently came across this article about me, which was printed in The Hindu newspaper. It highlights my journey of starting from humble beginnings in Trichy. It reflects how I dared to believe in my city’s talent and my vision to build a global company that stays true to its roots.
I hope that aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from my journey—that by taking bold steps even with limited resources, supporting local talent, and building a strong culture, lasting success is possible and can truly transform communities and lives.
